Our goal is to provide superior healthy meat, while at the same time allowing you to learn where your meat is coming from by supporting local farms.
We offer Hopcott Specialty Beef that has no added hormones, growth additives or anti-biotics, guaranteed by our seal of approval. Our AAA beef is hung on the rail, dry aged for 21 to 28 days, resulting in a tender, tastier product for our customers.
Our beef comes from our family farm right next door, helping to maintain consistent quality. Hopcott Farms was purchased in 1932 by Fred & Jane Hopcott. For 25 years it was a dairy farm. The dairy barn that was built in 1934, still stands today. Fred’s real dream of raising beef cattle was realized in 1957. Over time, buildings were constructed and the land was used for growing corn to feed the cattle. In 1971, Meadows Feedlot was started. Fred’s son, Bob Hopcott, became an active partner in the farm, following his father’s love of beef cattle. Bob has passed that love onto his children & extended family that all have active roles in the farm and Hopcott Premium Meats.
We also offer specialty chicken & pork, which have no added hormones, as per Canadian regulations, or antibiotics & fed a vegetarian diet, & are from local farms in the Fraser Valley.
We take pride in only offering local products grown or made as close to home as possible. Our fruit & vegetable selection comes only from Fraser Valley & Southern Okanagan farms, many of whom we know personally.
