Johnston's

Johnston Packers, established in 1937 by Carmen Johnston, has serviced and supported the local community of Chilliwack for 72 years. Starting out with just one full and one part-time employee, today this custom slaughter business provides employment for over 120 families in the area.

Don Ball, Mr. Johnston's nephew, worked for his Uncle Carmen until he passed away, and in 1968 purchased the business. From one man with a vision, this family-owned business has continued to grow, persevere and adapt to a changing industry.

Throughout these years the company has never wavered in its commitment to its core values of family, community, quality and service—key factors to its success and proud reputation. Our loyal customers have become accustomed to this.

We believe that the most important part of our business is feeding and supporting local families. All of our meat products—including beef, lamb, goat, pig—are grown or raised in BC.

Did you know BC pork producers only produce 10% of the pork consumed in BC? If you are looking for local pork ask your butcher or grocer for Johnston's. By buying Johnston's products, customers can be assured they are purchasing fresh, local meat and supporting local producers.
